Hello Everybody! Another tutorial is due for this week, and now it's all about layer settings! As always, I had fun filming this because I actually showed the entire process of me coloring my art work. It was even more satisfying as it's been a long time since I did digital art again. I was going to do a traditional drawing for this tutorial but it was hard to film and I cannot guarantee the quality, so I chose digital drawing instead.     The software I used are: Paint Tool SAI, OBS software, and Windows Movie maker. I also used my graphic tablet, the Veikk A50 graphics tablet. I recorded my voice using my cellphone, an Oppo F9, and the music was non copyright from Youtube, and Enhypen's Given-Taken (stream Enhypen). Here is the video, I hope you enjoy!     I've also made some fast and basic instructions that shows the basic tools and features of Paint Tool SAI version 2, which is almost the same as version 1. Here they are:          This is the full interface of P

✿ Week 17 - Masterpiece ✿

Good day guys! It's me again, and this time, this week's blog post is all about a unique drawing, in my case it's a painting~  It was a real challenge but I managed to draw something without a reference. Drawing without any reference is a way to explore your imagination and your art style but sometimes, it's still hard, especially if you're just about to sketch out the piece. Artists could have art blocks and it's never really easy to surpass it.      Here are a few drawings that I did with watercolors and this first time, I DID use references. I used my Sakura Koi 24 set watercolors, and the water based acrylic markers from Miniso. For the details, I used the unipen ballpoint pen in white, I think the other pen is called the Sakura Koi metallic pen in violet/gold, and finally, the faber-castell pen in brown.      I practiced so much and kept in mind that I want to incorporate lighting, simple backgrounds, flexibility in materials, and just have fun while

✿ Week 16 - MMA - Artwork Slideshow ✿

Hello again~ It's me, Nina, back at it again with another post! This time, it's a video, a slideshow of all my artworks in the first semester. This is also the first video I have uploaded for 2021! A new year is always a fun way to restart and maybe go back a step to see what else we can do and what else we need to improve or change.      So why not do that as we review ourselves in the form of compiling all our hard works and see them again one by one. It's like reminiscing and seeing how far we've come while feeling nostalgic.      I just wanna say that I'm not an expert in editing, and I actually edited this in my cellphone using Kinemaster so I apologize if it's not anything professional. I did some basic editing within the time of 2 minutes or less, so the show is going to be a little fast, please be aware that we can pause the video~ I've also put the materials I used in every week in case any of you guys are wondering what I used!     Here's t

✿ Week 16 - Calligraphy ✿

Hello guys! For this week, It's the first activity of 2021, and it's not a drawing. However, it's still a form of art, wherein we have to write something for Valentines, or related to the Holiday.      As you can see, I have a lot of tries, a full page actually, where I used a variety of colors of brush pens and felt tip pens. I also made sure to draw a few things too and spin a touch of creativity to put my way in writing the greetings.     Here are a few shots of my favorite ones that I did, It made me feel that my writing is better than how it usually looks.      I tried a lot of fonts but I made sure to always incorporate cursive-like lettering as it shows the romantic, cute, sweet vibes that Valentines is supposed to feel like. I also wrote sweet quotes or other valentine related sayings so it won't be redundant. I enjoyed writing because it helped me practice writing and lettering more, especially since I like trying new things and practicing stuff. What'

✿ Week 15 - Comics ✿

Hello! First of all, I want to greet you guys a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Let's take this opportunity to learn more!     Also, I'd like to apologize for the delay because I've been very very sick, and I only finished coloring this last night. I'm still very sick so my coloring might not be the best. For this assignment, we were given the task to draw a comic with a minimum of 5 panels. My comic was based on my friend's real life story where she sent a message at the wrong person. I twisted it and made it a tad bit more romantic and cute~      Here's the work!     Let me also introduce you to the characters; Pop, Rock, and EDM. Yes, I named them after music genres because I thought it was a fun idea to personify them into humans.      Pop, or Paprika, is the blonde girl that I used and drew in the cartoon entry. Rock, or Raquel, is the pink haired girl that is Pop's bff. EDM, or Evans, is Rock's brother and is also Pop's crush. I made
