✿ Exercise 5 - Infographics ✿

H E L L O!     For the 5th week of our subject, which is the last week of Prelims, we were now tasked to do a  Web Based Ads . Man, time flies so fast! As usual, all I used is my computer, my VEIKK A50 graphics tablet and an online editing software.      Here's my Web based Ads:      I reused the bakery concept of my aunt, but this time, reimagined it as a website advertisement. I used the same logo, same color scheme, but focused on adjusting the saturations and the values, and the same (fake) information.     I did two versions, one in landscape and one in portrait. I wanted two versions so I can add a few more elements and different visualizations for an actual ad. This is also practice if ever I have to do something similar to this. The ad shows that this is a bakery and that there is a sale, specifically, BUY 1 TAKE 2.  Here are information about the principles of T ypography I applied.   H IERARCHY   The biggest and most important part is the 'SALE' text, therefor I

✿ History of Graphic Design: Exercise 1 - Recreation of Renaissance Art ✿

Image
H E L L O!      Hello! I'm back again with another entry! This time, it's from my subject called History of Graphic Design. We had to recreate a renaissance art by someone from the same period.     I chose the painting called Springtime  by Pierre Auguste Cot . It's a painting about two people, who seem like lovers that gaze into each other's eyes filled with affection and care. They both swing under a tree as the bright sun shines on them and its warmth embraces both of them. The girl's arms are all over the boy as the male smiles down on her.      Here is the comparison:     I actually used a flipped version of the reference to use as my guide. It's also less saturated, which can be found here:     This digital painting took me a total of 3 days, which is why, I wasn't able to upload it and pass it quickly as I usually do. This painting took me so much time that I had to sacrifice a bit of my time so that I can also work on the details. As I worked on thi

✿ Exercise 4 - Infographics ✿

H E L L O!     For the 4th week of our subject, we were now tasked to do another Infographics . As usual, all I used is my computer, my VEIKK A50 graphics tablet and an online editing software.      Here's my infographics:     I based my work on the topic of  "Careers in Multimedia Arts". In order to compare and contrast two of the largest fields within Multimedia Arts, I used the  Versus or Comparison infographic.  Many people, including me beforehand, are confused about the work that Graphic Artists and Graphic Designers do.     I've compiled all the work that each person does in their specific field and put them together for you guys to see the differences.    Now, let's talk about the principles of T ypography I used.   H IERARCHY  - I made the biggest font to be the header, which is the title of the infographics, and it presents what it's all about. The text under follow it the hierarchy, and at the lowest ground, is another important text; Asking the v

✿ Elements of Principle and Design: Week 3 - MMA banner ✿

Image
H E L L O!     Here's my artwork for the third week of Elements of Principle and Design~ On this week, we were supposed to do a banner for MMA again, but this time, the main element is lines or shapes!     Before I tell you all about this week's post, I'll tell you what materials I used. As always, I used my A50 VEIKK graphic tablet and the software called Paint Tool SAI version 2. Here are my works:     As you can see, I used the same color palette twice. This is because I wanted to achieve a simple yet eye catching impact. I used a simple and minimalistic art style for this week to explore and discover new ways to draw or create art works. I always try to be flexible! Same with last week, I only used about four to five colors, all contrasting from the light background color.     I also applied things that I learned from my teacher. In the videos that she showed us, lines can have many forms, such as angular, smooth, dashed, dotted, curvy, diagonal, and more! Applying that
